Munich, Germany – Canadian Solar’s residential energy storage solution, EP Cube, is taking smart home energy management to the next level with direct integration into Home Connect-enabled BSH appliances from leading brands such as Bosch, Siemens, Gaggenau and Neff.
Through this partnership, homeowners can seamlessly connect their home appliances with the EP Cube App to unlock new levels of energy efficiency and cost savings. Appliances can be scheduled to run during peak solar generation or shifted to off-peak tariff periods—maximizing the use of clean energy while reducing electricity bills.
With Home Connect’s "Smart Start" function, EP Cube users can automatically run home appliances, such as dishwashers or washing machines, when energy prices are lowest. This hands-free feature ensures optimal use of self-generated solar power, reduces reliance on the grid, and supports a more sustainable lifestyle.
“Integrating Home Connect into the EP Cube ecosystem empowers homeowners to get the most out of their solar investment and to build more sustainable households” said Susanne Pflug, Chief Commercial Officer, Energy Storage EP Cube.
“We are excited about our partnership with EP Cube, to continue to expand the benefits of our Home Connect and sustainability offering via Smart Start, giving our consumers more ways to improve their energy efficiency and save on their energy bills”, said Stefanie Lipps, Managing Director, Home Connect GmbH.
By bridging residential energy storage with smart appliances, EP Cube redefines home energy management—maximizing efficiency, enhancing comfort, and making sustainable living smarter.
