All-in-one home energy storage brand backed by Canadian Solar introduces human-centric residential storage to the Australian market.

The EP Cube booth at Smart Energy 2026
SYDNEY, Australia, May 7, 2026 — EP Cube, the residential energy storage and management brand backed by Canadian Solar, has successfully concluded its Australian debut at the Smart Energy Conference & Exhibition 2026, held between May 6th and 7th at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney. The team introduced its single-phase and three-phase home energy storage systems to Australian installers, distributors, and industry partners for the first time, shared plans for a Q3 2026 market launch, and opened registration for its Australian First-Mover Program.
Smart Energy is Australia's premier gathering for renewable energy and smart technology, welcoming over 12,000 delegates and 130+ exhibitors this year. It provided a key platform for EP Cube to introduce its product approach to the local market and engage directly with the distributor and installer community.
"Smart Energy was an important first step for us in Australia," said Susanne Pflug, Chief Commercial Officer at EP Cube. "We're bringing Canadian Solar's trusted foundation together with an installer-friendly, human-centric storage experience, and we're building the local ecosystem to support it for the long term."
First launched in 2022, EP Cube has expanded internationally and is present today across more than 12 markets in Europe, North America, and the Asia Pacific. The entrance into Australia marks a significant step in the brand's global growth strategy.

At Smart Energy 2026, EP Cube showcased both its single-phase and three-phase systems, covering residential and light C&I applications.
The single-phase EP Cube delivers 7.6 kVA continuous output. The modular, scalable design offers 10-30kWh capacity, compatible with EV chargers up to 7.6 kW. The three-phase system extends that capability to 12 kVA, with up to 200 kWh capacity when paralleled up to 5 units, covering large residential and light commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Both models are designed to help Australian households and small businesses to connect storage, solar, monitoring, and electric mobility in one coordinated experience.
What makes EP Cube stand out is the combination of award-winning design, robust durability, and installer-focused practicality.
The system has received multiple international design awards—including iF, Red Dot, and Good Design Japan—for its slim, clean aesthetic that complements a modern home exterior.
EP Cube's battery modules are rated IP67 when stacked, providing enhanced protection against dust, heavy rain, and coastal moisture.
The system's modular architecture and the lightweight body translate directly into faster, easier installations. Each battery module weighs just 43 kg, and the stackable design allows an experienced installer to complete a typical setup in 30 to 40 minutes, significantly reducing time on site and labour costs.
Intelligent energy management is delivered through the EP Cube App, which enables homeowners to monitor solar generation, battery storage, and household consumption in real time. The system supports Time of Use optimisation, automatic weather alerts that proactively manage stored capacity ahead of storms, and Over the Air firmware updates.

The EP Cube team at Smart Energy 2026
Australia remains one of the world's most active rooftop solar markets, with strong policy support and growing household demand for energy independence, bill management, and outage resilience.
"Australia isn't just another market for us. It's one of the most exciting residential storage markets in the world," said Susanne Pflug. "Installers here are busier than ever, and homeowners want a system that gives them genuine peace of mind—something reliable, well-designed, and built to last. That's what we're bringing."
EP Cube is targeting a Q3 2026 market launch, with the three-phase system planned as the first certified release and the single-phase to follow. In the coming months, the company will focus on building local readiness through distributor and channel partner development, hands-on installer training programs, and the establishment of local after-sales support.
Long-term, the product roadmap includes an upgraded single-phase 2.0 and a three-phase Pro version with increased AC output and larger capacity. With an open API, EP Cube is also designed to integrate with third-party Virtual Power Plant (VPP) platforms, enabling future participation in grid services and demand response programs.
EP Cube is inviting installers, distributors, and channel partners to register for the Australian First-Mover Program, which provides early access to product information, training updates, and launch-phase benefits as the company progresses toward its Q3 rollout.
